Alexander Clemmey is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-6 205 lb. frame from Middletown, RI who attends Bishop Hendricken High School. Long and lean very projectable build. Works from the stretch with a very extended 3/4's to mid 3/4's arm slot, creates big angle to the plate, high energy delivery with some head action at release, stays on line well with his lower half. Primary fastball, worked up to 94 mph with nice late running life at times, got inside to a couple of right handed hitters with his angle and broke bats, easy to see more velocity there with additional strength and maturity. Flashed big depth and nasty sharpness to his slider, not consistent on this pitch yet but it has big potential. Flashed a firm straight change up that can be further developed. High ceiling young arm. Good student, verbal commitment to Vanderbilt. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
