Jackson Sammons is a 2025 OF/RHP/MIF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Savannah, GA, who attends The Savannah Country Day. A bigger frame and build with some strength that shows throughout. Sturdy build. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. He is a primary outfielder who files the ball off to the side with a fuller arm action through the back, creating some whip-through release on his throws. The ball carried well, extending through it. Loose and easy velocity out of the hand, with throws coming out at 86 mph. A right-handed hitter with an upright stance and open base as he sets up. He has higher-set hands that are tighter to the chest with the back elbow up. He uses a hover trigger to get engaged and has some rhythm to his load. There was strength at the point of contact. Showed pull-side juice during his round of BP swings with good barrel awareness. Had some jump off the barrel. Produced a 93 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Added a triple in-game as well. Sammons also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher who showed a feel for his actions on the mound. He was quick working through release and had good length extending down the slope. He had a full arm circle in the back with a higher three-quarters arm slot, landing open after release. He finishes hard. The fastball was up to 85 mph with some ride to it. The heater spun up above 2,400 RPMs. The slider was in the low 70s with a shorter break to it. He threw an inning, punching out 2 opposing hitters and allowing just 1 hit. Great student. Named to 2023 PG Main Event TP List.
