Reno Spagnoli is a 2024 RHP/C with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Warwick, NY who attends Warwick Valley. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned nicely throughout. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, side step moving into a leg lift up to belt on the mound, shows a quick arm action through the backside working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, generates some cut to glove side, pitches to contact. Tunnels slider well and generates high spin rates on the pitch up to 76 mph, shows comfort and feel for the pitch to land for strikes and miss some bats; flashed a changeup at 79 mph. Shorter arm stroke on throws from the outfield, quick release, will continue to refine overall actions, some effort on throws but remains on line. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a short stride moving into contact. Linear to downward swing path, shows comfort working to the middle of the field, short finish through contact. Very good student.
