Josh Randall is a 2021 C/RHP/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from San Juan Capistrano, CA who attends Capistrano Valley Christian. Big and strong athletic build. High level two-way potential. Right handed hitter with a high back elbow set up, has a long and loose swing with good bat speed, gets the barrel out accurately and has some lift to his swing path, strong enough to drive the ball. 7.47 runner, has quickness and athleticism in his actions behind the plate, repeats his lower half mechanics well blocking and throwing, plenty of raw arm strength with a clean exchange. Took a turn on the mound and was up to 93 mph from a high 3/4's arm slot, curveball had good depth and power to it, flashed a change up with feel as well. Could develop either behind the plate as a big and agile receiver with power potential or on the mound as a three-pitch starter type. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Arizona.
