Andrew Cruz is a 2025 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Kyle, TX who attends Lehman High School. Primary SS with a lean and athletic frame. Has quick feet with good lateral range. Got to the backhand well and made throws from the hole online and on time. Showed good lateral range working around the ball well with a clean 2-hand gather and funnel to chest. Gets it out quick with a quick transfer and release showing fluid actions all around. Throws from a clean lower slot that works with shorter arm action and could change slots when needed. Was up to 84 from the infield. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot with a quick arm. Works downhill and lands inline consistently. Filled up the zone and located well. Fastball worked up to 85. Showed the makings of a quality 3-pitch mix. Slider at 73 and change at 74. Left-handed hitter with an even and balanced base. Has a smooth lefty swing with bat speed and controls the barrel well. Had a nice round of BP and showed good bat to ball skills overall. Should continue to get better and hit in game. Good Student. Named to the South Central All State Games TP List.
