Drew Bellis is a 2024 LHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Avon Lake, OH who attends IMG Academy. Medium athletic build with room to get stronger. Throws from an extended 3/4's arm slot, arm action is long and clean, good direction to the plate. Fastball worked in the upper 80's this outing, topped out at 89 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running life. Change up was his best pitch this outing, gets nice sinking action and big run on it while maintaining arm speed, throws the change often and has confidence in the pitch. Also threw a short slider occasionally to create a different look. A key to his development will be better command and consistency on his fastball. Good student, verbal commitment to Vanderbilt.
