CG Gordon is a 2028 BHP/3B/MIF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Chattanooga, TN who attends Baylor. Features a taller/athletic build with some present strength. Ran a 7.47 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed developing actions. Showed intent in the approach to work aggressive to and trough the baseball but glove actions were a bit stiff/uncoordinated with some late turn over. Arm showed quality strength from the right side displaying carry and ok accuracy with avg. strength from the left and minimal accuracy. In the INF, displayed corner INF actions. Avg. footwork/quickness. Fielded everything clean. Quality glovework on GBs at him and to the forehand side with some stab/reach to the backhand side. Arm showed quality strength with accuracy across. At the plate, showed a more consistent swing from the left than right. From the right he's a bit wider and shows a direct barrel path with some quickness but didn't get off the backside and made contact at deeper points which resulted in several opposite field GBs. From the left side, showed a looser swing with good feel for the barrel. Got of his backside better here with some loft in the stroke and above avg. bat speed that produced more hard LDs/FBs. On the mound, showed some better armspeed and control from the right. From both sides the arm gets up early and works to a higher 3/4 slot. Pushy off the rubber and lands in-line from both sides. FB was up to 80 from the right flashing some cutting action and worked into the mid 70s from the left. Mixed in a slower/developing breaker from the right in the mid 60s that varied in shape.
