14u BCS & 13u Super 25 National Championship Scout Notes: Day 1 & 2

Showing some serious velocity for a prospect who just turned fourteen was righthander Chase Mobley (2024, Plant City, Fla.), who was eventually assigned the loss in the quarterfinal matchup but showed a lot of upside. Mobley is a long and loose righthander with a very wiry nad physically projectable 6-4, 175 pound frame. The effort level is low throughout the operation, however he works with a slower tempo which makes the timing of the foot strike extremely important to command. The arm action was inconsistent but still produced a fastball that was up to 87 mph and lived in the 80-85 mph range. Mobley had to battle through some command issues and as a result pitched with a fastball heavy strategy on the mound. There’s obvious mechanical fixes to clean up.
