Southeast Fall World Series Scout Notes

Isaiah Drake (2023, Atlanta, Ga.), a 5-foot-10, 185-pound strongly-built athletic outfielder for the East Cobb Astros 16U, was the MVP of the 17U Southeast Fall World Series. The uncommitted left-handed hitter showed all of his abilities at the plate over the weekend with a .538 average and eight runs batted in for the 17U Champion Astros. He was a one-man wrecking crew which included hitting for the cycle against the Mill Creek Hawks in game 1 of the tournament. The inside-the-park home run in his first at-bat of the tournament was just a prelude to a stellar weekend for Drake out of the leadoff spot. A consistent performer over the summer at PG events, Drake is always fun to watch anytime he steps on the field with the ability to change a game on both sides of the ball.
