High School Top 50: 50-41

50. Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, Calif.)
2025 Record:
19-12
Head Coach: Gary Remiker

Notable Prospect(s): SS Alex Harrington (Stanford), OF Hunter Harrington (Stanford), RHP Kaden Kuhn (Cornell), OF Xavier Nady (NYU), RHP Shoei Darvishsefat, SS Trey Kotsay (Princeton), OF Nick Ruder (University of Chicago), SS Jonas Nalu (Colorado School of Mines), OF Joshua Priest (Arizona State), LHP Jose Partida (Arizona State), 1B Maxwell Stewart, OF Dj Sweeney

Cathedral Catholic has been one of the top programs in the San Diego area over the past handful of years and brings back not only one of the best rosters in their area, but one of the top rosters in the country. Headlining the group is twin brothers Alex and Hunter Harrington, both Stanford commits and bring dynamic athleticism mixed with a good bit of experience. The Dons also return seniors Xavier Nady, Trey Kotsay, Nick Ruder and Jonas Nalu who bring quality leadership to the table. They have some great stuff on the mound in seniors Kaden Kuhn and Shoei Darvishsefat along with one of the top underclass arms in the country in left-hander Jose Partida. It’s quite the blend of upperclass talent blended with juniors set to make a huge impact on the roster in names like Joshua Priest, Maxwell Stewart, and Dj Sweeney. On paper, this is one of the best teams in California once again and has a chance to put together a magical spring.

49. Center Grove (Greenwood, Ind.)
2025 Record: 27-5
Head Coach: Keith Hatfield

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Gannon Grant (Tennessee), OF Hudson Stewart (Dayton), 1B Kobe Cherry (Purdue), RHP Kellen Thomson (Ball State), C Tristan Yerman (Indian Wesleyan University), RHP Eric McAtee (St. Xavier University), RHP Hayden Poeppelman (St. Xavier University), OF Drake McClurg (Texas A&M), SS Liam Delp (Michigan), SS Grady Grant (TCU), SS Braylon Storey

The Trojans come into the 2026 season as the favorite in Indiana’s highest classification and it’s easy to see why as they return some key pieces from a team that rattled off 27 wins a year ago. They have one of the best one-two’s at the top of their rotation in Tennessee signee Gannon Grant and Ball State signee Kellen Thomson. Both saw extensive time a year ago and are back to bolster the rotation once again. To go along with their pitching staff, they also bring back some dynamic bats led by seniors Hudson Stewart, Kobe Cherry and Tristan YErman. Three of the top underclass bats in the state are also on this roster in Drake McClurg, Liam Delp and Grady Grant. It’s a talented roster from top to bottom with a good chance to bring home a state title this spring.

48. St. Laurence (Burbank, Ill.)
2025 Record: 37-5
Head Coach: Pete Lotus

Notable Prospect(s): SS Cory Les (Louisville), LHP Samuel Chin (Ball State), SS Michey Lotus, OF Donovan Danny (Wisconsin-Parkside), 1B Adrian Perez, RHP Ryan Wollschlager (Pepperdine), RHP John Strzechowski, OF Daniel Coyle, C, Tristan Steger (Kentucky), LHP James Benson (TCU)

2025 was a benchmark year for the St. Laurence program as the won their first ever state title and they bring back a roster talented enough to make it back-to-back in 2026. They headline their starting rotation with a pair of talented left-handers in senior Samuel Chin and junior James Benson. They’ll round out the staff with another pair of seniors in Ryan Wallschlager and John Strzechowski. On the offensive side of things, they bring back a pair of power-four commits in junior catcher Tristan Steger and shortstop Cory Les as well as bringing back an all-state performer from a year ago in Mickey Lotus. They enter into 2026 as our favorite to win another state title in Illinois and with this roster, they have a great opportunity to do just that.

47. Edmond Memorial (Edmond, Okla.)
2025 Record:
30-8
Head Coach: JP Holman

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Laird Williams (Tulane), SS Jase Winchester, OF Tyler Robinson, SS Cooper Kardokus (Nebraska), RHP Joshua Wilson, RHP Cole Dunlap (TCU), OF Landon Schmidt, SS Koen Isaacson, 1B Jameson Gottsch

The Bulldogs are coming off their best season, record wise, in quite some time as they rattled off 30 wins. They return a host of upperclass talent that performed at a great rate a year ago and pound for pound, may have the best rotation in the entire state entering 2026. They’ll be led by senior right-hander and Tulane signee Laird Williams, a 6-foot-8 right-hander who’s been into the low-90s. Junior right-hander and TCU commit Cole Dunlap is the top ranked player in the 2027 class in Oklahoma and he’s been into the mid-90s, giving them quite the duo at the top of their rotation. They’ll round out the offensive side with the same amount of experience as seniors Jase Winchester, Tyler Robinson, and Cooper Kardokus all return along with a pair of juniors in Landon Schmidt and Koen Isaacson. It’s quite the staff and come into the year with lofty expectations.

46. Gloucester Catholic (Gloucester City, N.J.)
2025 Record:
24-3
Head Coach: Dennis Barth

Notable Prospect(s): C Braeden Lipoff (East Carolina), SS Noah Danza (Mississippi State), SS Guy Lynam (Auburn), 2B Jason Bogart (Rowan University), OF Henry Pancoast (Seton Hall), 1B Jude Morgan, OF Eddie Pineiro Jr. 1B Brayden Moughan, 1B Joey D'Alessandro

It should come to not surprise for people who follow high school baseball to see Gloucester Catholic once again represented in the top-50. They have one of the most dominant programs across the country and should once again have a loaded roster, with one of the top offenses in the entire nation. Not many teams will be able to roll out a lineup with a pair of commits to power programs and that is exactly what this team is able to do in seniors Braeden Lipoff and Noah Danza. There are even more seniors as well that bring ample experience to the table in Jason Bogart, Henry Pancoast, and Jude Morgan. Sophomores Eddie Pineiro Jr. and Brayden Moughan will push for time as well on this offense. They’ll look to rattle off their fourth state title in a row in 2026 and they have an offense that will be able to keep up with almost anyone in the nation.

45. Bishop Verot (Fort Myers, Fla.)
2025 Record:
32-3
Head Coach: Bryan Marotta

Notable Prospect(s): C Joseph Lawson (North Carolina), RHP Tyler Reeder (Navy), OF Nicholas Raber, RHP Blake Lavenia (Montevallo), RHP Kayson Sands, RHP Aaron Kluener, SS Braylon Sheffield (Virginia), OF Jake Sedmack (Wofford), OF Brody Baxmann (Jacksonville State), RHP Boston Selig, C Nico Ayars, RHP Jhon Rodriguez, LHP Jessie Feast

It was an incredible season a year ago for the Bishop Verot program as they rattled off a 32-3 record but fell short of their ultimate goal of taking home a state championship. Starting on the offensive, it’s one of the better units in the state with senior catcher Joseph Lawson and senior outfield Nicholas Raber leading the way. They have a trio of juniors that will play a huge part in their success this spring in Braylon Sheffield, Jake Sedmack and Brody Baxmann. On the pitching side, they’ll be able to roll out arms that have been through the gauntlet that is a Florida high school baseball season. Seniors Tyler Reeder, Blake Lavenia, Kayson Sands and Aaron Kluener will be relied upon heavily. They’ll be led by a new head coach in Bryan Marotta as they enter the season and he’ll look to grab that illusive state title.

44. James Island Charter (Charleston, S.C.)
2025 Record:
30-4
Head Coach: Matt Spivey

Notable Prospect(s): SS Taj Marchand (Ole Miss), SS Trip Ostergard (North Carolina), LHP Cooper Jones (Auburn), RHP Charles Becker, SS Brayden Easterling

After winning the 2024 4A state title, James Island moved up to South Carolina’s highest classification and proceeded to win another one. They come into the year as our favorite to make it three in a row, two coming in 5A. They have a dynamic duo of middle infielders in senior Taj Marchand and junior Trip Ostergard. Marchand will fill a lot of different roles as he usually does and will excel at all of them. They also bring back one of the top left-handers in the nation in junior Cooper Jones. Another junior of note is right-hander Charles Becker who’s been into the upper-80s on the travel ball circuit. They come into the year with high expectations once again and with the amount of top-end talent on this roster, should be the favorites to continue their winning ways in 2026.

43. Hoover (Hoover, Ala.)
2025 Record:
22-20
Head Coach: Adam Moseley

Notable Prospect(s): SS Jaxson Wood (Tennessee), 1B Will Adams (LSU), James Au (Northwest Florida State College), RHP Max Crowder, SS Jonah Winston, RHP Tanner Underwood (Snead State CC), RHP Cameron Lowery (Coastal Alabama CC), OF Joey ODonnell, RHP Connor Bennett, OF Andrew Renfroe, OF Hudson Oliver

The Hoover program is one of the more storied ones in the state of Alabama and the 2026 team has a chance to bring home their first state championship since 2017. The roster is headlined by a pair of dynamic senior bats in PG All-American and Tennessee commit Jaxson Wood along with LSU commit and a top-125 player in the country in Will Adams. They bring back a host of other contributors from a year ago in James Au and Jonah Winston. On the mound they’ll be led by a trio of senior arms in right-hander Max Crowder, Tanner Underwood, and Cameron Lowery, all who bring a lot of experience to this staff with quality stuff as well. This is a talented group headlined by their two SEC commits that should push for the second state title under head coach Adam Moseley.

42. Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, N.C.)
2025 Record: 28-3
Head Coach: Darren Adams

Notable Prospect(s): RHP Chase Kiker (Clemson), LHP Mylo White (North Carolina State), RHP Beckett Howie (Campbell), OF Jackson Pierce (Wingate), SS Caleb Hunter (Belmont Abbey), OF Jacob Seamon (LSU), RHP Abram Hargett, RHP Bryson Josey, OF Leyton Guhl (Wofford), C Luke Fry, 3B Camdyn Hargett, OF Peyton Tarlton, C Colton Pettinato

Metrolina Christian steamrolled their way through their schedule a year ago but came up a few games shy of the state championship. This 2026 group enters this year with a sour taste in their mouth and ample amount of talent to win a state title this year. They’re headlined by one of the top two-way talents in the 2026 class in Clemson signee Chase Kiker who’s been into the upper-90s on the mound. Senior left-hander and North Carolina State signee Mylo White and senior right-hander and Campbell commit Beckett Howie provide a pair of other dynamic arms to this staff. On the offensive side, Kiker will provide plenty of thump, but they also bring back one of the top bats in the 2027 class in Jacob Seamon. It’s one of the best rosters in the nation with plenty of top-end talent that will look to dominate their way to a state championship in 2026.

41. DePaul Catholic (Wayne, N.J.)
2025 Record:
21-7
Head Coach: Joe Gambardella

Notable Prospect(s): SS Jason Amalbert (Oklahoma), SS JC Pacheco (Arizona State), RHP Christopher Marano (Stetson), SS Aiden Ogando (James Madison), RHP Angelo Bellizzi, C Jayden Marte, RHP Chase Colaianni (Stetson)

It’s a new era of Trojans baseball as Joe Gambardella takes over the reins of one of the top programs in the state. This is a program that found themselves a win away from a title a year ago but bring back some key contributors. Senior middle infielder Jason Amalbert returns and brings with him one of the top two-way abilities in the nation. Also returning is Arizona State signee JC Pacheco, Stetson signee Christopher Marano, and James Madison signee Aiden Ogando, all bringing ample experience back along with high end talent. Junior right-hander and Stetson commit Chase Colainni rounds out the staff on the mound, giving them one of the more formidable staffs in the region. DePaul will be a force once again in 2026 and they have the talent to take home the title this spring.

They were dominant from start to finish, ending the year with a 35-2 record and bring back most of their offensive production and the offense will be headlined by a pair of seniors who had great springs a year ago in Drayton Mitchell and Wyatt Duke. Mitchell was also one of the arms that they relied upon a year ago and dominated on the bump. Rounding out the rotation is another senior in Coll Carroll, a left-hander who’s been into the upper-80s in PG...
