After an Aiden Bodison (2030 SS, Duncan, SC) RBI double in the third, Nall drove in another run for Columbia Blue on a triple, later scoring on an overthrow to stretch the lead to 5-3.

Matthew Buja (2030 1B, Mansfield, MA) held the Black squad at bay in the latter innings. The athletic southpaw did a great job changing tempo and filling up the zone (73% strikes). His effort was answered by Columbia Blue's John Sundburg (2029 1B, Carrollton, VA). The 6-5 lefty showed a ton of projection, topping at 79 with plus-sink and a slider in the low 70s. Sundburg fanned the side in both of his innings.

For Columbia Blue, Ashton Bodison and Nall each tallied a pair of hits on the afternoon.
