The HP Maldonado defeated the ECB Renegades 13-1 in seven innings.
Chase Allen (2015, Sharpsburg, GA) led the HP team with a three RBI double and later scoring a run. The UGA commit, Adam Goodman (2015, Fayetteville, GA), was a strong supporter by going 3-3 with three singles with two RBIs and a walk. Isaiah Gilliam (2015, Lilburn, GA) added a pair of doubles with two RBIs and two runs. Tristin English (2015, Williamson, GA) contributed a 2-4 game with two singles and three RBIs and a run. CJ Ballard (2015, Williamsburg, GA) connected with a single and a triple while leading the team with four runs. Tyler Burdette (2015, Fayetteville, GA) roped a RBI single with two runs.
The Kennesaw State commit, Ethan Gillis (2015, Senioa, GA), started and went three innings. He let two hits fall with one run that was unearned to score. He walked one and struck out five with his 84 mph fastball. Tyler Sellers (2015, Locust Grove, GA) went the next two innings without a hit or a run to occur. He walked one and struck out one. He maxed out the radar at 87 mph with his fastball. Finally Ben Baggett (2015, Fayetteville, GA) tossed the last two innings without a walk, hit, or a run to occur. He was able to lead the team with six strike outs. He ran the radar all the way up to 91 mph with his fastball.
Will Hesterlee (2014, Carrollton, GA) roped the only extra base hit for the Renegades with a double. Stephen Wechsler (2014, Roswell, GA) added a single, and Joseph Cuomo (2017, Excel Christian Academy, GA) scored the only run of the game.
Coty Amant (2015, Smyrna, GA) showed some poise on the mound for his team. He went the longest with 3.2 innings. He let just three hit fall with two runs to score. He walked two and struck out three while running the gun up to 81 mph.
