Mason Frey (2029 1B, Tampa, FL) has a really sound swing for his age group, finding several barrels on the day. He has quick hands and a real ability to get the bat head out front with strength to it. Pair of doubles on the day and really swung it well.

Jacob Plodzik (2029 OF, Concord, NH) one of the prettier swings of the day, a booming double down the right field line and followed it up with even more loud contact. It's a real good left-handed swing that stays inside the baseball well. Bat speed is more than present.

Noah Patenaude (2029 OF, San Diego, CA) pieced together solid pull-side contact with several hits on the day. He has a real short swing with a present ability to stay behind and drive it. Good athlete all over, as well.

Joshua Puebla (2029 SS, Charleston, SC) roped one deep to the gap for a double. Shows really quick hands with good strength produced out front. Plenty of feel in the box.

Elijah Curtis (2029 OF, Loudon, TN) stung one deep to the gap for a double and has some awfully quick hands. Linear path that is super adjustable and has some real feel for the barrel at his age group.

Anthony Montelone (2029 3B, Mount Pleasant, SC) drove one the other way for a double down the line. Adjusts well in the box and takes it where it's given, really sound piece of hitting on display all day long.

Oscar Perez (2029 RHP, Oakpark, IL) blistered a single through the left side of the infield, showing a short and direct stroke to deliver the barrel on-time. He has quickness to his hands, stays connected and projects to add strength.

Caleb Mamadaliyev (2029 SS, San Antonio, TX) had himself quite the day, impacting the baseball with authority to all fields. He does a nice job of delivering the barrel on-time, has plenty of present bat speed and generates easy carry.

Cole Almeroth (2029 C, Olney, MD) really sprayed it the other way and stung several extra-base hits on the day. Good set of hands that can lift the ball with intent. Lots of strength on display for age.

Batting Practice Highlights

12/30/2024

Cooper Bucci took a great round, using his length well and staying consistently synced up to create strong impact to the pull gap throughout his round.

Theo Schroedter stays in his base well and showed a good bit of bat speed to create pretty solid impact to the middle of the field.

Preston Wiggins keeps it pretty simple in his approach to the impact point and has enough strength to impact baseballs to the middle of the field.

Axel Davis showed some flashes of good bat speed throughout his round and has the size/length to project into some impact pretty soon.

Jonathan Johnson sprayed the field with some consistency and was consistently creating some of the more solid line drive contact.

Owen Sun took a really strong round, staying short to the ball but consistently elevating with some impact behind it to carry some a long way to pull.

Nathan Breed showed some flashes of things to like with good body control and quickness to the hands, just needs to get off the back side to unlock more.

Matthew Holley is a good-sized kid with some pretty fast hands and bat speed, running into a long couple fly balls in parts of the round.

Monty Chalabi is physical and can create some pretty easy juice when he’s timed out front, running into some really strong balls to the pull side when squared.

Logan Augustyniak showed some pretty real bat speed turning over consistently hard line drives to the pull side and will project into even more.

Alvin Thomas III has some physicality and packs a punch with a compact stroke, consistently lifting the ball with jump to the pull gap.

Dylan Laflamme doesn’t try to do too much and lets his hands work creating pretty solid impact to any part of the field when he stays synced up.

Robbie Deignan took one of the better rounds of the day showing a whole ton of intent to how he swings the bat and using the whole field with some pretty strong impact.

Blake Heeter is a big kid with some upside as he has good rhythm to his process and the length is handled well, meaning he can grow into some real power long-term.

Ben Delic showed one of the best swings of the day as he flashed some real impact to the pull side and has a great combination of body control, bat speed and feel for the barrel.

Jacob Plodzik lifted the ball well to the pull side with low-90s EVs at times and uses his ability to leverage well.

Mason Frey showed some really good hands in being able to handle the barrel and create some of the more consistently back-spun line drives to either gap.

Jake Shetler swung it well in the back half of the round, consistently working the ball in the air to the pull side in doing in a good job of firing over his front half.

Markeithon Simon showed some of the better juice of the day as he punished some baseballs up against the wall to the pull side.

51-Red vs 52-Royal Highlights

Gian Lacomba (2028 Florida, PR) showed some whip in the swing and barrled a hit to the pull side gap. Good adjustment to find the barrel. He also cruised through 3 innings on the mound mixing the FB/CB combo well.

Leonardo Marchitelli (2029 Rolling Hills, CA) is a good looking athlete with a wiry frame and moves well. He turned on a hard single through the 6-hole in his first at bat.

Von Nielson (2029 Bradenton, FL) went with a pitch and clobbered a long double to the oppposite field gap. He has good length in the zone and should produce regularly. He also singled up the middle in his second at bat. He continued to have a day with a long double that easily burnt the left fielder. Then he finished it off with a forth hit of the day, a liner to left.

Cliff Sult IV (2029 Concord, NC) hit an absolute missile line drive up the middle for a knock. Handled velocity well as he found the loud barrel.

Grant Carter (2028 Alameda, GA) had really good at bats all day. He notched a couple hits and showed the ability to hit to all fields.

Grayson Desmond (2029 Bradenton, FL) got in on the hit parade, hitting a liner over the short stops head for a knock. Stayed inside the ball and found a good barrel.

12/30/2024

Brayden Myers (2029, Vermilion, OH) drove a ball back up the middle for a base hit early. A direct path to contact is shown with a lean frame that has plenty of room to add. Myers showed an aggressive style of base running, looking to take any bag that presents itself.

Jacob Plodzik (2029, Concord, NH) drove in a run with an RBI single back through the middle. The left-handed hitter shows good rhythm in the box with strong barrel feel for the age. Plodzik followed the hit with a stolen base.

Brian Tang (2029, Hopkinton, MA) laced a ball back up the middle for an RBI single to extend the lead. Tang showed the ability to keep the hands back on an offspeed pitch and drive it through the big part of the field with authority.

Anthony Montelone (2029, Mount Pleasant, SC) laced a ball back up the middle for a base hit and recorded a line drive single later on in the ballgame. A sound approach allows the entire field to be used with solid feel for the barrel shown. Montelone also ran the fastball up to 81 mph on the mound with a developing, low-60’s curveball.

Jaxon Whiteside (2029, Eureka, WA) showed strong pitchability out of the pen. An upper-60’s curveball pounded the zone consistently. He went to a quality curveball late in counts that showed depth with the ability to miss bats.

Robbie Deignan (2029, Deerfield Beach, FL) produced a loud barrel on a double to the right-center field gap. A short path to contact with bat speed is shown. A lanky frame has plenty of room to add hinting at more power to come. Deignan also showed strong two-way ability on the mound, running the fastball up to 81 mph.

Alvin Thomas III (2029 1B, Canton, MS) Patient at dish and waited for his pitch as he pulled a line drive RBI single into LF. Followed it up with a stolen base shortly after.

Branden Cruz (2029 OF, Decatur, IL) Beat out a chopper to the 3B late in the game for a single.

Nicholas Harvey (2029 C, Weston, FL) Got the hands out in front and laced a LD into LF for a single.

Isaac Miller (2029 SS, Louisville, KY) Generated a lot of swing and miss with the FB and then left hitters looking with the CB late in counts. Got out in front of a FB at the dish and snagged himself a stand up double.

Matthew Holley (2029 OF, Homewood, IL) Smoked a stand up double down the line in the bottom of the first. Earned an RBI on a GB to SS that was almost legged out.

Logan Augustyniak (2028 1B, Tewksbury, MA) Got the barrel through on a LD base hit to RF in the bottom of the 2nd.

45-Black vs. 46-Columbia Blue game highlights

12/30/2024

45-Black jumped out to a two-run lead in the top of the first thanks to a two-RBI knock from Hunter Sims (2029 OF, Sharpsburg, GA)Theo Schroedter (2029 OF, Chicago, IL) would steal the show from there. The long-limbed, slender RHP topped at 81 in a pair of scoreless innings, striking out five. Schroedter spun a breaking ball with slider shape in the upper 60s and featured an advanced changeup in the low 70s that he threw to both right and left handed hitters.

The contest featured solid pitching throughout. In addition to Sims, Jordan Vesey (2029 OF, Jersey City, NJ) showed some projection on the bump as well. Vesey has a clean arm stroke on the backside and some downhill action to his fastball, which settled into the mid 70s.

Emmitt Teuber (2029 RHP, Lake Zurich, IL) also showed well in his look, topping at 75. Teuber's fastball stayed around the zone all day, which he paired with a breaking ball with slurve action that he commanded in the zone. His 70 percent strike rate was a game-best.

Cameron Longcore (2029 OF, Rockford, MI) led off the bottom of the fifth for 46-Columbia Blue with a clean single to the opposite field and advanced his way around the bases to even the score. Longcore also tossed a pair of scoreless innings on the mound, striking out two.

Darius Dunmiles (2029 2B, Pensacola, FL) was also interesting on the mound. An athletic player who plays multiple positions on the field, Dunmiles hopped on the bump and used a heavy dose of fastballs to sail through two innings of work. Dunmiles topped at 77 with the offering, which featured late cut action, and showed smooth actions at shortstop defensively.

51-Red vs. 52-Royal Game Highlights

12/29/2024

Carter Grant (2028 1B, Alameda, CA) way impressive on both sides of the ball as he ran the fastball up to 80 mph and also notched a hit. He's strong and physical for the age and the upside here is significant.

Von Nielsen (2029 OF, Bradenton, FL) showed a heavy fastball that peaked at 82 mph and the arm talent here is solid. The fastball gets on hitters quickly and he was tough to square up.

Gavin Sentner (2029 OF, Youngstown, OH) hammered a double into the pull side gap for one of the louder hits of the game. Sentner is a physical 6-foot-1, 170-pounds with good leverage and impact to the swing.

Antonio Marino (2029 C, North Fort Myers, FL) showed some two-way viability as he hopped on the mound and touched 80 mph. He looked like he was playing catch out there and the velocity ceiling here is very high.

Markeithon Simon (2029 C, Lake Charles, LA) did not collect a hit but had two of the harder batted balls of the game: a screamer knocked down by an infielder followed by a hard lineout to center. He's seeing the ball well clearly and the arm strength plays from behind the plate.

47- Green v. 48- Gold Game Highlights

12/29/2024

47- Green v. 48- Gold

Matejo Blakes (2029, Oak Park, Ill.) added a base knock as he shot one back up the middle. He found room in right-center, and he was able to tally a hit, staying through it well and doing damage. Blakes added another hit later on and picked up a 1-2-3 inning on the mound on just 5 pitches.

Archie Graber (2029, Chicago, Ill.) worked the low- to mid-70s on the fastball and showed off a longer arm action with some whip. Graber threw 3.0 innings, allowing just 1 hit, and punched out 4 opposing hitters along the way.

Aiden Willard (2029, Fairfax Station, Va.) worked the upper-60s, up to 71 mph on the fastball, with a feel to attack the zone. He was able to get the job done on the mound, rolling up quick outs and filling the zone with strikes over 3.0 innings. Willard punched out 5 opposing hitters along the way as well. He added a hard-hit base knock later on, barreling one up working pull-side into left field, showing off a clean right-handed stroke.

Logan Augustyniak (2028, Tewksbury, Mass.) turned on a pitch and drove it into right field for a well-struck base knock. He caught the barrel and stayed through it well, beating the ball to the spot out in front to do damage and pick up a line-drive single. Later on, he would add another base knock, sending one back up the middle for hit no.2 on the evening.

Owen Sun (2029, San Diego, Calif.) added a well-struck base knock as well, jumping on the first pitch he saw. He was aggressive early and able to find the barrel and pick up a knock for his squad.

DeYunte’ Parks (2029, Loganville, Ga.) showed off the actions in the box, showing a wider base with high-set hands. He kept the lower half quiet, made an adjustment, and found a way to deliver the barrel out in front. He stayed through it well and line the ball into left field for a base knock.

Monty Chalabi (2028, Skokie, Ill.) added a base knock as he drove one backside into left field, picking up a single. He turned around and jumped on the mound, working up to 81 mph on the fastball, showing some power and strength in the arm to project on moving forward. Chalabi struck out the side in his outing on the mound.

Keith McKissack Jr. (2028, Navarre, Fla.) worked up to 81 mph on the fastball and showed good arm-side life on the pitch. He spun it above 2,100 RPMs and flashed an upper-60s breaker in the mix as well. Heavy fastball attack over his inning where he worked around a hit for a scoreless inning.

49-Orange vs. 50-Purple Game Highlights

12/29/2024

Marcus Lee (2029, Miami, FL) pulled a ball into left field for an RBI single to get the scoring started. A simple swing stays balanced and gets on plane early, allowing for sound bat to ball skills.

Blake Heeter (2029, Renton, WA) impressed during his time on the mound, striking out seven hitters over three innings of work. The righthander ran the fastball up to 77 mph, pairing it with an upper-60’s slider that missed bats.

Anthony Montelone (2029, Mount Pleasant, SC) laced a ball into left field for base hit. Immediately followed it with a stolen base. Montelone shows the ability to get the foot down early and produce hard hit line drives to the big part of the yard.

Mason Frey (2029, Tampa, FL) flashed intriguing stuff on the mound, striking out six hitters over two innings. The fastball worked up to 75 mph. Showed the ability to kill spin and maintain arm speed on a mid-60’s changeup. Also flashed a developing, mid-60’s breaking ball.

Jacob Plodzik (2029, Concord, NH) showcased a nice piece of hitting with a line drive single to the opposite field. The left-handed hitter stays on pitches well and can spray balls to all fields.

Brady Jordan (2029, Atlanta, GA) drove in a run late in the game with an RBI single to the opposite field gap. A direct path stays short to contact, allowing for line drives to be produced gap to gap.

45-Black vs. 46-Columbia Blue Game Highlights

12/29/2024

Cooper Bucci (2029 RHP, New Gloucester, ME) knocked a double the other way in his first at bat. There's good lift out in front and Bucci was strong on the mound, touching 75 mph and pounding strikes.

Braden Adorno (2029 SS, North Port, FL) had a number of barrels and hits and overall looked very comfortable in the box. It's quick hands with an easy swing and solid upside.

Jack McKillop (2029 3B, Peachtree City, GA) hit two ground ball singles during this one, to the pull side and opposite field. It's a simple stroke and McKillop lets his natural strength do the work.

Jonathan Johnson (2029 3B, Miami, FL) collected two hits on the day, both coming to the opposite field. Johnson uses the whole plate qwell and can distribute the ball accordingly.

Darius Dunmiles (2029 2B, Pensacola, FL) had two hits on the day including a nice piece where he pulled his hands in for a hard grounder up the middle. He doubles in his second at-bat, showing the extra base power.

Lawson Abeles (2029 C, Sarasota, FL) showed off the two way potential during this game, lining a single to pull in his first at-bat before hopping on the bump. His hands are quick and he ran the fastball up to 74 mph.
