Ramadan leads Palm Beach to a win

Ronald Ramadan (2016, Summit Christian, FL) drove in three runs with two hits including a double for Palm Beach Travel Baseball's 5-1 win over Future Stars Baseball.  Jose Torres (2015, Forest Hill Community, FL) went 2 for 2 and came around to score twice. Johnathan Rodriguez (2016, Lake Worth, FL) pitched the whole game.  He fanned three and allowed five hits.

Nathan Berkel (2015, Colegio Arubano, ABC) led the Stars offense with two singles and came around to score their only run. 

Ostingers Pitching Dominates And Wins Championship

The Ostingers Baseball Academy 17U defeated the South Florida Storm Blue 2-0 in seven innings.

Conor Grady (2017, Tampa, FL) was the first pitcher for the Ostingers by going four strong innings. He did not let a run to score and only let a pair of hits fall. He walked a batter and struck out two on his 86 mph fastball. He has a projectable frame while controlling both sides of the plate He has arm side run on his fastball that compliments his deceptive change up. Brandon Harris (2016, Plant City, FL) shut down the last three innings without a run to score and two hits to fall. He did not walk a batter and struck out three. He maxed out the radar at 86 mph as well. He has a good extension out front with a good quick arm. His fastball is his out pitch.

Offensively, the team could only muster three hits. Nathan Chevalier (2017, Valrico, FL) connected with a double and a run, and Chase Lackmann (2016, Lithia, FL) and Alex Kachler (2016, Lithia, FL) each added a single. Austin James (2016, Valrico, FL) scored the second run. 

The Storm out hit the opponents with four hits with all being singles. Gary Mattis (2016, Davie, FL) and Dalton Deakins (2016, Stuart, FL) each had one single and both stole a base in the game.

The pitching staff did not look shabby by any means. They only gave up one earned run in the sixth inning. Nikolas Dague (2016, Tampa, FL) went the first 3.2 innings without an earned run and two hits. He walked a pair and struck out one. He ran the radar up to 82 mph. Rene Arauz (2016, Miami Gardens, FL) hurled the last 2.1 innings with the one earned run and one lone hit given up. He walked two as well and struck out one on his 81 mph fastball.


Pitching Shuts Down Rival Ostingers

The Ostingers Baseball Academy 17U defeated the Ostingers Baseball Academy 2015s 1-0 in seven innings.

The pitching for the 17U team was the talk of the game. Jonathan Baughman (2016, Tampa, FL) started and went the longest with five innings of work. He didn't let a run score and just let one hit fall. He did not walk a batter and struck out three. He ran the gun up to 81 mph. He shows great command by pitching to both sides of the plate. He throws easy while pitching downhill. JJ Niekro (2016, Plant City, FL) finished the last two innings without a run to score as well with just one hit. He did not walk a batter and struck out one. He maxed out the radar at 83 mph. He has a fluid arm action that comes with good hip rotation. 

For the offense, Joey Raffaele (2017, Lithia, FL) led the team with two hits with a single and a double. Alec Titmus (2016, Lithia, FL) scored the only run while getting on base off his single.

For the 2015s, Nathaniel McCabe (2015, Brandon, FL) was the only one to touch base with hit single and a double.

Drayden Williams (2015, Valrico, FL) took the mound for the 2015s and pitched great. He went the whole game with letting one run score that was unearned. He scattered seven hits with one walk and four strike outs. He topped out at 83 mph. He has a great curveball that compliments his aggressive fastball. 

West Boca Panthers cruise to blowout win

The West Boca Panthers cruised to the blowout victory, defeating the Black Mambas, 11-0.

Ricardo Gonzalez (2016, West Boca Raton HS, FL) led the way for the Panthers offense, going 2-3 with two singles, and two runs scored.  Richard Garcia (2015, West Broward HS, FL) went 1-3 with a double, one run scored, and two RBIs.  Brendan Brundage (2015, American Heritage HS, FL) went 1-3 with a single, one run and two RBIs as well in the game.  John Campbell (2016, American Heritage HS, FL) contributed with a double of his own, and two runs scored.

Brandon Boyle (2015, Spanish River Community, FL) pitched a complete game, giving up no runs, one hit, and struck out three.  He had a fastball that averaged 76-78/79 mph and mixed in a handful of curveballs for his off-speed pitches.


Naturals Florida and Orlando Baseball tie

The Naturals Baseball 18U and the Orlando Baseball Academy 2015, end in a 1-1 tie.

For the Naturals, Jacob Hearl (2015, Sebastian River HS, FL) went 2-3 with two singles, and leadoff hitter Batista Santos (2015, Community Christian Academy, FL) went 1-3 with a single and one run scored.  On the mound, Ryan Nolan (2015, South Fork HS, FL) pitched five innings, giving up one run on three hits, and struck out five.

For Orlando Baseball, Evan Lowe (2015, The Masters Academy, FL) and Julian Nunez (2016, Apopka HS, FL) each went 1-3 at the plate, with a single a piece.  Jose Mandry (2015, Cypress Creek HS, FL) also went 1-3 with a single in the game.  Hunter Rotarius (2015, Apopka HS, FL) pitched three complete innings on the mound, giving up one earned run on two hits, and struck out three.


Orlando Prospects and Canes Baseball tie

For the Prospects, Joshua Corredor (2015, Harmony HS, FL) went a perfect 3-3 at the plate, with a double, two singles, and two RBIs.  Clody Martinez (2016, Osceola HS, FL) went 1-3 with a single, one run and one RBI.  Frankie Vega (2016, Oakridge HS, FL) also contributed with a single and went 1-1 at the plate.

For the Canes, Enrique Puig (2015, Escuela Juan J. Maunez, PR) went a perfect 2-2 with a single, double, and two RBIs.  Angel Marrero (2015, Escuela Basilio Milan Hernandez, PR) went 1-1 with a single and two RBIs.  Abner Vincenty (2015, Colegio San Agustin, PR) also contributed with a double, and one RBI in the game.

Bullets Baseball defeated Attatude Baseball 9-5.

Anthony Gonnella (2016, Riverview HS, FL) sparked the Bullets offense, going 2-3 with a double, single, and one RBI in the game.  Kobe Barnum (2016, King HS, FL) also went 2-3 with a double, single, and two runs scored in the contest.  Dereck Smith (2015, Durant HS, FL) also contributed with a double, and went 1-2 with one run and three RBIs.

For Attatude Baseball, Dan Oberst (2015, Northside Christian HS, FL) went 2-3 with two singles, and one run scored.  Larry Coffey (2015, Osceola HS, FL) went 1-2 with a double, one run scored and three RBIs.  J. Taylor also contributed with a double in the game.


South Florida Storm cruise to blowout win

The South Florida Storm Blue cruised to the blowout victory, defeating Premier Baseball Academy-Orlando 17U, 12-1.

Leadoff hitter Gary Mattis (2016, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL) led the way, going a perfect 3-3 at the plate, with a double, two singles, one run, and two RBIs.  Edison Rodriguez (2015, The Sagemont HS, FL) contributed with a double and finished 1-2 with a run and two RBIs.  Nicholas Marchese (2015, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL) went 3-3 with three singles in the game.

Marchese also pitched a complete game, giving up one run on four hits, and struck out five, in 4.1 innings of work.  He had a good fastball that averaged 81-85 mph and topped out at 86 mph.

For Premier Baseball, Matt Griesmer (2016, Auburndale Senior HS, FL) and Evan Kayser (2016, St. Edward HS, OH) each went 1-2 in the contest, with a single a piece.


PBA Black grab shutout win over CRFS

PBA Black 17U grabbed the shutout victory, defeating CRFS Baseball 18U, 3-0.

Ryan Dinka (2015, Venice Senior HS, FL) led the way for PBA, going a perfect 3-3 at the plate, with three singles, one run and one RBI in the game.  Christian Faldetta (2016, Charlotte HS, FL) contributed by going 1-2 with a single, one run and one RBI.  Grant Potter (2016, Desoto County HS, FL) pitched five innings of work, giving up no runs, five hits, and struck out three.  He had a fastball that averaged 75-77/78 mph and mixed in a handful of off-speed pitches.

For the CRFS Baseball, leadoff hitter Rafael Correa (2015, Dr. Phillips HS, FL) went 1-2 with a single, and Alexis Sanchez (2015, John A. Ferguson HS, FL) went 1-3 with a single as well.


Valley Forge Baseball defeats Team Citius

Valley Forge Baseball edged by Team Citius-Velez, 3-1.

Leadoff hitter Julian Osias led the way for the Valley Forge offense, going 2-3 with a single and a double.  Travis Reynoso (2016, Newsome HS, GA) went 2-3 as well with two singles, one run and one RBI.  Adrian Comas (2016, Dunedin HS, GA) contributed with a double in the game, and Jose Cadenas (2016, Gaither HS, GA) had a triple.

On the mound, Keon Cusic (2015, Jefferson HS, GA) pitched four innings of work, giving up one run on one hit, and stuck out two.

For Team Citius, R. Rosario had the lone hit for the team, and finished 1-2 at the plate.  I. Rosario pitched a complete game for Team Citius, giving up two earned runs on nine hits and struck out seven.


Three Runs in Sixth Pushes Storm to Narrow Win

The South Florida Storm Blue defeated Team Avenue Aces 18U 5-4 in seven innings.

John McKenna (2016, Parkland, FL) led the Storm by going 1-2 with a double that scored two runs off his hit. Jose Oliva (2015, Miramar, FL) added a pair of singles while scoring once. Alex Dickinson (2015, Weston, FL) and Jeremy Prieto (2015, Pembroke Pines, FL) each connected with a single and later score. 

Rene Arauz (2016, Miami Gardens, FL) showed poise on the mound for the Storm by going 2.1 innings. He did not let a run score or a hit to occur. He walked one batter and struck out one on his 82 mph fastball. 

For the Aces, Marcus Mead (2016, Huntersville, NC) led the team by knocking two singles and a RBI. Brandon Jenkins (2015, Davie, FL) smoked a double while scoring once. Angelo Winings (2015, Fort Worth, TX) added a single and two runs. 

Jett Swetland (2015, Marengo, OH) went the longest for his team with four innings. He did not allow an earned run with four hits to fall. He walked three batters and only struck out one. He maxed out the gun at 80 mph. 

Sarasota Baseball edge by Basline 18U

The Sarasota Baseball Club grabbed one run in the bottom of the fourth that proved to be enough as they went on to defeat Basline 18U, 1-0.

Vaun Brown (2016, Sarasota HS, FL) carried Sarasota Baseball on the mound, pitching a complete game, giving up five hits and struck out four in seven strong innings of work.  He had a fastball that averaged 75-78/78 mph, and mixed in a handful of off-speed pitches.

At the plate, Cody Brickhouse (2015, Sarasota HS, FL) sparked the offense, going 1-2 with a double and one RBI.  Kyle McMullen (2016, Sarasota HS, FL) finished 1-2 with a single and Matt Schlabach (2015, Sarasota HS, FL) went 1-3 with a single as well.

For Baseline, Andrew Velez (2015, Slam Charter HS, FL) also pitched a complete game, giving up no earned runs, three hits, and struck out one.

The South Florida Storm Blue defeated the Florida Surge 5-1 to remain perfect and improve to 5-0 in the tournament and advance past the quarterfinals.  Matthew DiNenna (2016, Martin County HS, FL) led the way for the offense going 2-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 2 RBI.  DiNenna also earned the win on the mound going 6 innings allowing just 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 3.  DiNenna showed good velocity on his 80-86/87 mph fastball, while also mixing in a 70-74/75 mph curveball.

Gabriel Cruz (2016, South Dade Senior HS, FL) also showed well going 2-3 with 1 double with 1 RBI.  John Mckenna (2016, Majority Stoneman Douglas HS, FL) added in a 1-2 day with 1 run scored and 1 walk.  

For the Surge, Alex Vasquez went 1-3 with 1 double and Sean Mallyn went 1-3 with 2 stolen bases.

Kinney and Wheat Lead Ostingers in 4-2 Win

The Ostingers Baseball Academy 2015s defeated the Dawg Pound 4-2 in seven innings.

Brandon Wheat (2015, Lithia, FL) led the offense for the Ostingers with a pair of singles along with a pair of RBIs. Bryce Gainer (2015, Lithia, FL) helped with a RBI single of his own. Four other players had a single each along with a one run each.

Jacob "Jake" Kinney (2015, Zephyrhills, FL) tossed the longest of the staff with six innings. He did not let a run score and let just two hits fall. He did not walk a batter and struck out nine while running the gun up to 88 mph with his fastball.

Christian Millan (2016, Tampa, FL) tried to light a comeback for the Dawg Pound with the long RBI single for the team. Eduardo Valez (2015, Lutz, FL) added a single and scored a run.

Cosme Zapata (2015, Orlando, FL) hurled the first five innings with three earned runs to score off six hits. He walked a pair and struck out three on his 86 mph fastball.

Ostingers Baseball Academy 2015s defeated the FBH Angels 18u 3-2 to improve to 5-0 in the tournament.  Drayden Williams (2015, Brandon HS, FL) led the way for the Ostingers' offense going 2-2 with 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 walk.  Tommy Craparo (2015, Robinson HS, FL) added in a 2-3 day at the plate with 1 double, while Darius Autry (2015, Robinson HS, FL) went 1-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  
Daylong Owens (2015, Bloomingdale HS, FL) started and won the game for the Ostingers tossing all 7 innings allowing 2 unearned runs on 4 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 4.  Owens featured a 79-82/83 mph fastball while effectively mixing in a 70-73 mph curveball.  

For the Angels, leadoff man, Jamarcus Lyons (2018, King HS, FL), went 2-3 with 1 run scored to try and spark the offense.  Matt Martin (2015, Bartow Senior HS, FL) went 1-3 with 1 RBI on the day.  

Surge Outduel Fireline 3-2

The Florida Surge defeated the Fireline Bails Bonds 3-2 in seven innings.

Alex Vasquez led the Surge with a trio of singles for his team. Jake Kessinger (2017, Boca Raton, FL) picked up the only RBI for his team. Kasum Nabhan connected with a double while scoring twice.

Chris Wallace went the complete game on the mound. He did not allow an earned run to score with five hits to fall. He walked one and struck out five while running the gun up to 77 mph. 

Michael Rodriguez (2016, Hialeah, FL) led the surge for the Fireline with a single and a double with a RBI. Andres Santana (2017, Miami, FL) and Blake Brito (2017, Hialeah, FL) helped with a single and a run.

The Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box 18U defeated Team Avenue Aces 18U 10-2 in five innings.

Dawson Clark (2015, Polk City, FL) led the Lakeland team with a single and a double while driving in three RBIs. Luis Guerrero (2016, Lakeland, FL) added a single and a double with a RBI and a run, and Trevin Pruitt (2016, Lakeland, FL) contributed a pair of singles and a run. Baylee Waters (2015, Lakeland, FL) knocked a two RBI single for his team, and Christopher Lansaw (2016, Lakeland, FL) connected with a two RBI double and a run.

Matt Wight (2015, Lakeland, FL) went five innings for his team on the mound. He allowed both runs and let three hits fall. He walked three batters and struck out seven on his 77 mph fastball. 

Angelo Winings (2015, Fort Worth, TX) led the Aces with a RBI single, and Jose Castruita (2015, Keller, TX) connected with a double. Jeff Leach (2016, Destin, FL) scored the only run of the game.

Ostingers Baseball Academy 17u defeated the Sarasota Baseball Club 6-2 thanks to a 4 run rally in the bottom of the 6th.  Joey Raffaele (2017, Newsome HS, FL) led the way for their offense going 3-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Alec Titmus (2016, Newsome HS, FL) also showed well going 2-3 with 1 RBI and Colin Allman (2016, Strawberry Crest HS, FL) added in a 2-4 day with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Cody Shook (2017, Newsome HS, FL) continued the strong offensive day by going 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  

Justin Gross (2017, Bloomingdale HS, FL) earned the win for the Ostingers going 3 2/3 innings allowing just 1 unearned run on 4 hits and 1 walk, while recording 2 strikeouts.  Gross used a 76-78 mph fastball to go with a 68-71 mph curveball during his outing.  

For Sarasota, Matt Schalbach (2015, Sarasota HS, FL) had a good game going 2-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 stolen base.  Andrew Jones and Aiden Wolfe (2015, Sarasota HS, FL) each added in 1 double in their days at the plate.  

Broward Scores Late To Win 5-1

The Broward Nationals defeated the Hit Factory 18U 5-1 in seven innings.

Tyler Ray (2015, Pompano Beach, FL) led Broward with a single and a triple with a RBI. Kenneth Moreno-Costa (2016, Pembroke Pines, FL) and Chayce Hay-Eldon (2015, Pembroke Pines, FL) each added a single and a run for their team. Jeremy Randolph Garcia Castro (2016, Hialeah, FL) and Jordan Quijano (2016, Miramar, FL) were each pinned with a RBI and a run too.

Luis-Miguel Sucre (2015, Weston, FL) went most of the game on the mound. He went five innings without an earned run to score along with five hits to fall. He walked one and struck out four while touching 80 mph.

Five different players for the Hit Factory picked up a hit each for their team. Nath Tomilonus (2015, Seminole, FL) was one of these and scored the only run too. 

Kremer went five innings for his team by allowing two earned runs and three hits. He walked just one and struck out five while running the gun up to 75 mph.

Aces' offense carries them over PBA

Team avenue Aces 18u defeated the PBA Black 17u 11-9 thanks to a 5 run rally in the top of the 7th inning.  Jose Castruita (2015, Seguin HS, TX) had a strong game offensively going 2-3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored and 4 RBI.  Jett Swetland (2015, Highland HS, OH) also played well going 2-3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, 4 RBI and 1 walk.  Leadoff man, Chris Crotzer (2015, Martha Layne Collins HS, KY), added in a 2-2 game with 1 run scored, 1 stolen base and 1 walk.  

Julian Vazquez (2016, South Grand Prairie HS, TX) came in the game in relief and tossed 1 2/3 innings allowing 1 earned run and struck out 1 batter.  Vazquez used a 75-80 mph fastball while on the mound and also mixed in 62-63 mph curveball. 

For the PBA Black, Sam Mieses (2016, North Fort Myers HS, FL) went 3-4 with 1 triple and 3 RBI.  Leadoff man, Christian Faldetta (2016, Charlotte HS, FL), helped spark the offense going 3-4 with 2 runs scored and Terry Tates (2015, Cape Coral HS, FL) went 1-3 with 1 run scored and 3 RBI.  

No Hitter For Eagles in 12-3 Win

The Faith Baptist Eagles defeated the Hialeah Warriors 18U 12-3 in six innings.

For the Eagles, Raudy Martinez (2015, Brandon, FL) led the surge with a pair of singles with a double along with two RBIs and a trio of runs. Alex Dominguez (2015, Brandon, FL) added two singles and a double with a RBI of his own and three runs. Jonathan Ottenwalder (2015, Brandon, FL) connected with a single and a double with a RBI along with a pair of runs. DJ Johnson and Pietro Oliva (2015, Brandon, FL) contributed a RBI single. 

Chavez Fernander (2016, Brandon, FL) tossed two strong innings without an earned run to score without a hit to occur. He walked two and struck out three on his 87 mph fastball. Phiilip Wessin (2016, Brandon, FL) hurled the next two without a run or a hit. He walked one and struck out one with his 76 mph fastball.

Frankie Castro (2015, Hialeah, FL) and Brandon Garcia (2016, Miramar, FL) were the only runs for the Warriors. 

Johnny Johns tossed the most effectively with 2.1 innings of work. He let two runs score with five hits to fall. He did not walk a batter and struck out a pair. He ran the gun up to 77 mph. 

Gators Pitching Tosses No Hitter

The Carrollwood Gators 18U defeated the Real Deal Baseball 16U 15-0 in three innings.

For the Gators, Nelson Maldonado (2015, Tampa, FL), the Florida commit, crushed a three run home run in the game. Ryan Fatzinger (2015, Tampa, FL) added a pair of singles with two RBIs and a run. Randy LoCicero (2015, Tampa, FL) knocked a RBI single and later scored, and Andrew Lindsay (2015, Odessa, FL) connected with a two RBI single with three runs. Chad Reeves (2015, Tampa, FL) helped with a RBI single and a run.

Mike Pierro (2015, Lutz, FL) tossed the beginning of the game with two innings. He did not give up a run, hit, or a run. He was able to strike out three on his 77 mph fastball. He has a quick arm with a short arm circle in the back. Josh Bobrowski (2017, Lutz, FL) went the last inning of work. He did not give up a walk, run, or hit either. He was able to strike out two. He maxed out the gun at 76 mph. He had a smooth and online delivery with a good extension out front. 

Angels and Cape Thunder Tie at 3

The FBH Angels 18U tied the Cape Thunder 18U 3-3 at the end of seven innings.

For the FBH Angels, Jamarcus Lyons (2018, Tampa, FL) and Jacob Ralyea (2015, Plant City, FL) led the team with a pair of singles and a run each. Alan Harrison (2016, Bartow, FL) contributed a two RBI single for his team, and Matt Martin (2015, Bartow, FL) contributed a RBI single and a later scored.

Martin went the longest with five innings. He let two earned runs and four hits fall. He walked three and struck out two on his 82 mph fastball.

For the Thunder, Hunter Oleary (2015, Cape Coral, FL) led the surge for them with three singles in four at bats. Kyle Arjona (2015, Cape Coral, FL) added a single with two runs. Dante Ciminati (2016, Cape Coral, FL) roped a RBI double with a run.

The most effective pitcher for the Thunder, Anthony Lopez (2015, Cape Coral, FL), went only two innings. He did not give up a run and four hits. He was able to strike out four on his 83 mph fastball.

Daylon Owens (2015, Bloomingdale, FL) led the offense with two singles and an RBI.  Drayden Williams (2015, Brandon, FL) tripled in a run while Brandon Wheat (2015, Durant, FL) drove in a run with a single. 

Alex Medina (2015, John A Ferguson, FL) doubled in a run for the Mambas.

A big fourth inning helps Naturals Florida 18U beat Fireline Bail Bonds 11-0. Nikolas Dague (2016, Tampa, FL) was the most effective pitcher for his team with two innings of work. He did not give up a run and surrendered two hits. He maxed out the gun at 82 mph.

In a low scoring game, Faith Baptist Eagles came out on top of Palm Beach Travel Baseball. Hafid Nunez (2015, Faith Baptist Christian, FL) started and lasted two innings in the 2-1 win.  He fanned four while not allowing a hit. His fastball was between 86-88 mph and touched 91. Francisco Arias (2015, Faith Baptist Christian, FL) pitched 1 2/3 innings. He struck out five batters and walked three. He also touched 91 mph with his fastball, but mostly kept it between 88-90. Alberto Vargas (2015, Faith Baptist Christina, FL) came in next. In two innings, he k'ed four and allowed a hit. He threw an impressive fastball that was in the high 80's and touched 91 mph.  Raudy Martinez (2015, Faith Baptist Christian, FL) drove in their two runs with a single. 

Jose Torres (2015, Forest Hill Community, FL) had one of the Palm Beaches hits and also came around to score their only run. 

First Inning Enough for CRFS

The CRFS Baseball 18U defeated the Bullets Baseball 4-1 in seven innings.

Gabriel I. Escalera (2015, Orlando, FL) led the surge for the CRFS with a pair of singles with a RBI and a run scored. Luis Rodriguez (2015, Orlando, FL) added a RBI triple, and Raul Gomez (2016, Kissimmee, FL) connected with a double for the other extra base hit.

Derek West (2015, Orange City, FL) was very effective on the bump with six innings of work. He let one run score with just two hits to fall. He walked three batters but struck out 13 total batters. He maxed out the radar at 91 mph. He has a good curve ball with good depth break. He has an effortless arm action that is loose.

For the Bullets, Christopher Chatfield (2015, Riverview, FL) led the team with a RBI single. Anthony Gonnella (2016, Riverview, FL) added a single of his own.

Joshua Gullo (2015, Lithia, FL) went most of the game. He went 6.2 innings without giving up a run and allowed only four hits. He did not walk a single batter and struck out six. He ran the gun up to 76 mph.

The Valley Forge Baseball tied with the Tampa Bay Raiders 2-2 at the end of six innings.

Travis Reynoso (2016, Riverview, FL) led the Valley Forge Baseball with a double in the game. Adrian Comas (2016, Tampa, FL) helped out with a RBI single and later scoring. Alejandro Garcia (2016, Kissimmee, FL) contributed a single and later scored.

Justin Sainz (2015, Tampa, FL) pitched the most effectively of this team with 2.1 innings of work. He didn't let a run score with just one hit to fall. He walked three and only struck out one. He ran the radar up to 82 mph. 

Nicholas Lynch (2016, Lutz, FL) provided all of the offense for the Raiders with a two RBI double in the fourth inning. Garrett Raeckers (2016, Lutz, FL) roped a single and also touched home once.

He threw an impressive fastball that was in the mid 80's and touched 87 mph. Evan Lowe (2015, Masters Academy, FL) led the offense with a single that drove in two runs.  Nathan Sterijevski (2015, East Ridge, FL) went 1 for 2 with two RBI's.  Jose Mandry (2015, Cypress Creek, FL) also singled home two runs.

Nathan Berkel (2015, Oranjestad, ABC) added a pair of singles. Antonio Rivera Jr. (2015, Staten Island, NY) connected with a RBI single and scored twice. 

Taj Thompson (2015, St. Thomas, VI) led the pitching duties with 3.1 innings of work. He let two earned runs score with five hits. He walked two batters and struck out six on his 82 mph fastball. Joshuan Sandoval Sanchez (2015, Manati, PR) went a pair of frames without a hit or run to occur. He walked one batter and struck out three. He maxed out the gun at 82 mph.

John Campbell (2016, American Heritage, FL) helped out with a single and came around to score. Kyle Morgan (2015, West Boca Raton, FL) started and lasted three innings for the Panthers.  He struck out one and allowed three hits.  Chris Charlock (2016, West Boca Raton, FL) came in to finish the game. He fanned four while walking one in four innings.

Surge win over Palmetto

The Florida Surge defeated the Palmetto Baseball Club by a score of 4-1.  Surge starter, Bryce Vecsey (2015, West Broward HS, FL) started and earned the win by tossing 7 strong innings allowing just 1 run on 5 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 5.  While on the mound, Vecsey used primarily a 68-73/77 mph fastball.  

Offensively for the Surge, Cody Cannon went 1-3 with 1 double and 2 RBI.  Jake Kessinger (2017, Pine Crest HS, FL) also showed well going 1-3 with 1 RBI and Myles McKisic (2016, American Heritage HS, FL) went 1-3 with 1 run scored, 1 RBI and 1 stolen base.

PBA Black 17U defeated the Real Deal Baseball 18U 5-1 in seven innings.

Daniel Korchick (2015, Cape Coral, FL) led the PBA team with a RBI double. Garrett Martin (2015, Cape Coral, FL) roped a double with a run, and Hunter Tinsley (2016, Fort Myers, FL) connected with a RBI single with a run. Grant Potter (2015, Arcadia, FL) added a RBI single for his team. Sam Mieses (2016, Cape Coral, FL) singled and later scored.

Jett Swetland (2015, Marengo, OH) led the Aces with a RBI double, and Jose Castruita (2015, Keller, TX) connected a RBI single and later scored for his team. Angelo Winings (2015, Fort Worth, TX) and Aaron Griffin (2015, Mesquite, TX) also touched home once. 

Julian Vasquez (2016, Grand Prairie, TX) started and only went two innings. He let just two hits fall without a run to score. He struck out four and did not walk a batter. He ran the gun up to 81 mph. Troy Foreman (2015, Southwest Ranches, FL) went the longest with five innings of work. He scattered four hits without an earned run to score. He only walked one and struck out eight while maxing out at 80 mph. 

Inside the Diamond outhit the opposition but couldn't get runs to score. David Dinorcia (2017, Naples, FL) led the team with a pair of singles and a run. Antonio Gonzalez (2015, Pembroke Pines, FL), Charles Marsala (2016, Naples, FL), and Colin Breuer (2018, Naples, FL) each added on a hit. Tyler Lopes (2016, Fort Myers, FL)  roped a RBI single.

David Chidsey (2016, Naples, FL) went the first three innings of his team. He did not give up a walk, hit, or a run. He was able to strike out one on his 75 mph fastball. Lopes went the longest with the last four innings. He scattered the two this with only one earned run. He walked two batters and struck out four while touching 76 mph. 

Brickhouse swings Sarasota past Team Citius

The Sarasota Baseball Club defeated Team Citius-Velez 9-2 early in Sunday's action.  Sarasota was led offensively by Cody Brickhouse (2015, Sarasota HS, FL) who went 1-3 on the day with 1 double, 2 runs scored, 3 RBI and 1 stolen base.  Matt Schalbach (2015, Sarasota HS, FL) also showed well going 1-2 with 1 double, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.  Vaun Brown (2016, Sarasota HS, FL) added in a 1-2 day with 1 double and 2 runs scored.  

Brooks Larson (2017, Sarasota HS, FL) earned the win for Sarasota tossing 2 innings of work allowing 2 unearned runs on 2 hits, while striking out 1.  Larson used a short arm action and got good armside life on his 72-77/78 mph fastball while also showing a 70-73/74 mph slider that flashed potential. Aiden Wolfe (2015, Sarasota HS, FL) also pitched for Sarastoa logging 4 shutout innings out of the bullpen giving up 4 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 3.  Wolfe got good hip rotation and pitched downhill featuring a 72-74 mph fastball while featuring a plus 60-63 mph curveball that flashed good depth and had late break.  

For Team Citius, Bernard Medina (2015, George Washington Educational Campus HS, NY) went 1-3 with 1 double and I Rosario went 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 stolen base.

For the Future Stars Baseball, Euguene Farrell (2015, St. Thomas, VI) led the team with the only hit and run scored. He connected with a single for his team. Luis Miguel Pelayo (2015, Noord, ABC) was pinned with the only RBI. 

David Nicholas (2015, St. Thomas, VI) led the pitching duties with a five inning outing. He let one run score off two hits. He allowed five hits and walked three batters. He has a quick arm with an online delivery. He topped out at 81 mph with his fastball.

For the Thunder, Kyle Arjona (2015, Cape Coral, FL) and Jose Valmana (2015, Cape Coral, FL) each added a single for their team. Valmana added a RBI in the game. 

Shane McClanahan (2015, Cape Coral, FL) hurled six innings without an earned run to score. He let just one hit fall. He struck an incredible 13 batters and only walked one. PBA Black 17U cruised to the easy shutout victory, defeating Attatude Baseball in convincing fashion, 12-0.

Chace Polston (2015, North Port HS, FL) and Terry Tates (2015, Cape Coral HS, FL) each contributed to the offensive production with a double a piece in the game.  Polston finished 1-1 with two runs scored and one RBI.  Tates finished 1-3 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Drayden Williams (2015, Brandon HS, FL) pitched 4.2 innings of work for the Ostingers, giving up no runs on four hits, and struck out three.  He had a fastball that averaged 80-82 mph and topped out at 83 mph, while also effectively mixing in a handful of curveballs and a couple of changeups for his off-speed pitches.  At the plate, Williams went 1-3 with a double.

Thomas Romero (2015, Coral Springs Charter, FL) pitched a complete game for the Surge, giving up just two hits, no runs, and struck out 12 in the game.  He showed good command of all of his pitches and had a fastball that averaged 84-88/89 mph, while mixing in a good, late-breaking, curveball.

At the plate for the Surge, Cody Cannon went 1-3 with a single, one run and one RBI.  Leadoff hitter Sean Mallyn went 1-4 with a single and one run scored.

Palm Beach Travels Baseball cruised past the Hialeah Warriors 18U, 5-1.

Ronald Ramadan (2016, Summit Christian, FL) led the way for Palm Beach, going 2-3 with a homerun, single, one run scored and three RBIs in the game.  Jorge Hernando (2016, Forrest Hill Community, FL) contributed by also going 2-3 in the game, with two singles.  Dakota Jackman (2015, Clewiston HS, FL) pitched five complete innings of work, giving up one earned run on just tow hits, and struck out nine.  He had a fastball that averaged 75-77 mph and topped out at 79 mph, while mixing in a handful of off-speed pitches as well.

For the Warriors, leadoff hitter Eric Delgado (2015, Barbara Goleman HS, FL) and Alfredo Barroso (2015, City of Hialeah Education Academy, FL) each contributed with a double.  Barroso finished with one run scored as well.


Lumbert Leads Premier Baseball to Win

Evan Lumbert, (2015, Boone, FL) led the Premier Baseball Academy- Orland 17U at the plate and on the mound to a 7-0 win over SBO Florida 18U. On the mound, Lumbert pitched three scoreless innings, only allowing two hits while striking out six. At the plate, he had two hits, including a single and a double, to go with one RBI and two runs scored. 
Cooper White, (2016, Celebration, FL) also had a good game at the plate for Premier Baseball Academy going 2-3 with two singles and three RBIs. Ryan Glasthal, (2015, Ocoee, FL) added a double and two RBIs to add to the offensive output. 
Mitchell Rodriguez, (2015, Coral Glades, FL) pitched two innings for SBO Florida, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out two. Oscar Montolio, (2015, Taravella, FL) had a double to lead the SBO offense. 

Team Effort Lifts Naturals to 4-1 Win

The Naturals Florida 18U used an all around team effort to defeat Palmetto Baseball Club by a score of 4-1. 
Trevor Sanchez, (2015, Fort Pierce Central, FL) started the game for the game for the Naturals Florida 18U and pitched four innings, allowing only one unearned run on four hits and struck out four. Sheldon Carroll, (2016, South Fork, FL) led the offense with two RBIs and teammate Eric Schulte, (2015, Vero Beach, FL) added a double and one RBI. 
Kevin Acevedo, (2015, Manatee County Private, FL) pitched a complete game allowing four runs, two earned, on six hits and struck out three for Palmetto Baseball Club. Acevedo also had a good game at the plate going 2-3 with a single, a double and a run scored. Max Pollock, (2016, Palmetto, FL) added two singles. 

Jones' 5 no-hit innings key in Sarasota win

The Sarasota Baseball Club defeated the Tampa Bay Raiders 7-0 in their team's first game of the tournament.  Andrew Jones (2016, Sarasota HS, FL) started and won the game for Sarasota tossing 5 no-hit innings allowing just 1 walk and recording 5 strikeouts.  Jones threw an incredible 77.1% of his pitches for strikes in the outing including his 80-83/84 mph fastball. 

Offensively for Sarasota, Skylar Frey (2015, Sarasota HS, FL) led the way going 2-3 with 1 triple, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.  Aiden Wolfe (2015, Sarasota HS, FL) also showed well going 1-3 with 2 RBI while Florida commit, Nick Long (2016, Sarasota HS, FL), went 1-1 with 1 RBI.

For the Raiders, Dave Crawford (2017, Steinbrenner HS, FL) went 1-2 with 1 double on the day.

Valley Forge Baseball held on to beat Sarasota Baseball Club 4-3.  Adrian Comas (2016, Dunedin, FL) went 1 for 2 with an RBI.  Matt Leslie (2016, Newsome, FL) pitched in with a single and an RBI. Cross threw four solid innings. He struck out three and allowed two hits. 

Daniel Pierce (2016, Sarasota, FL) pitched five innings for Sarasota.  He gave up three hits but also k'ed three.  Alex Arauz (2017, Sarasota, FL) led the offense with two singles.

Real Deal Baseball 18U only had three hits but beat CRFS Baseball 18U 13-2. Braxton Bishop (2015, Fort Mill, SC) drove in two runs with a single. Nick Matchunis (2015, Fort Mill, SC) pitched five solid innings. He struck out nine and allowed just three hits.

Ostingers Baseball Academy 17U rack up 12 hits in their 8-0 win over Palm Beach Travel Baseball.  Lead-off hitter Austin James (2015, Bloomingdale, FL) had a double that drove in a run.  Alex Kachler (2016, Strawberry Crest, FL) pitched in with two singles and an RBI.  Nathan Chevalier (2017, Bloomingdale, FL) went 2 for 4 with a triple and an RBI.  Colin Allman (2016, Strawberry Crest, FL) hit a double and an single. He also drove in two runs. Conor Grady (2017, Tampa Catholic, FL) started and lasted two innings. He struck out three and allowed just a hit. His fastball was between 84-86 mph and touched 87.

He struck out eight while allowing five hits and three walks. Cody Cannon (2015, Umatilla, FL) led the offense with two hits including a double and the game's only RBI. 

Tyler Parry (2015, Eustis, FL) threw six innings for Orlando. He struck out four and allowed five hits. Jacob Southern (2016, Apopka, FL) went 2 for 2 with a double in the loss.

With only two hits, Team Citius-Velez top Tampa Bay Raiders 5-1. Sal Ingrassia (2015, Sussex Central Senior, De) went 1 for 2 with an RBI.  Rosario drove in a run with a single. Bernard Medina (2015, George Washington Educational Campus, NY) pitched the whole game. He struck out four while allowing two hits and three walks. 

Noah Tuley started for the Raiders. In five innings, he struck out eight while allowing a hit and a walk. 

Team Avenue Defeats Broward 5-2

The Team Avenue Aces 18U scored two runs in the first inning and three in the third while holding Broward Nationals to two runs as they won 5-2 . 
The Aces were led by Jett Swetland, (2015, Highland, OH) who went 1-2 with a double, two RBIs and a run. Aaron Griffin, (2015, Mesquite, TX) also had nice game offensively going 1-1 with a single and two RBIs. Dalton Brockman, (2015, West Broward, FL) added to the Aces offensive attack by going 2-3 with two singles, an RBI, and two runs scored. 
Griffin also led the Aces on the mound throwing four scoreless innings, allowing only two hits while striking out two to earn the win. 
Kenneth Moreno-Costa, (2016, Somerset Academy Charter, FL), Michael Van Degna, (2015, Somerset Academy Charter, FL), a Campbell University commit, and Manny each had a single to lead the Broward Nationals offense. Moreno-Costa also had a stolen base to contribute to his offensive production. Anthony Garcia, (2015, Pembroke Pines Charter, FL) had a good performance on the mound, throwing a complete game allowing three earned runs on eight hits while striking out four. Garcia attacked the strike zone throwing 71 percent of his pitches for strikes.

Lenoardo Torres (2017, West Broward, FL) started and lasted three innings. He fanned two and walked three.  Miguel Rodriguez (2017, Monsignor Edward Pace, FL) came in and threw four innings. He struck out four and gave up three hits.

Black Mambas Defeat Suncoast 3-1

The Black Mambas scored a run in the 4th, 5th and 6th innings to overcome a one run deficit and beat the Suncoast Select 18U Old Hickory 3-1. 
The Black Mambas were led by lead off hitter Alex Medina, (2015, John Ferguson, FL) who had two RBIs. Christian Martinez, (2015, Doral Academy Charter, FL) also showed good offensive skill going 2-3 with a single, a double and two runs scored. Enrique Cabrera, (2017, Ferguson, FL) added an RBI single. Mark Blanco, (2015, Ferguson, FL) pitched a solid game. throwing 5.1 innings and allowing one run on three hits while striking out five. 
Suncoast Select starting pitcher Vito Tambasco, (2015, Nature Coast Technical, FL) threw a good game of his own as he threw a complete game, allowing three runs, two earned, on six hits and struck out 10. Evan Difrancesco, (2016, Palm Harbor University, FL)  led the Suncoast Select offense going 1-2 with a single and drove in his team's only run.

Canes and Thunder end up in a tie

It was a low scoring game between Canes Baseball Academy 18U and Cape Thunder 18U. Neither team could pull away as they settled for a 1-1 tie. Anthony Lopez (2015, Mariner, FL) started for the Thunder. In two innings, he struck out four and did not allow a hit.  Andres Fonseca (2016, Ida Baker, FL) came in and threw five innings.  He fanned eight and gave up three hits. Trevor Moore (2015, Ida Baker, FL) drove in their only run with a single.

Gabriel Torres (2015, Colegio Dr. Roque Diaz Tizol, PR) threw the first two innings for the Canes. He k'ed two but walked three.  Edgar Matos (2015, Escuela Especialisada Papa Juan 23, PR) came in next. In three innings, he struck out two and allowed a hit.  Finally, Calis Cotto (2015, Escuela Superior Urbana, PR) finished the game. He also struck out two and did not walk a batter.

Ostingers Baseball Academy 2015s defeated the West Boca Panthers 2-0 to pick up their first win of the tournament.  Bryce Gainer (2015, Durant HS, FL) started the game for Ostingers and tossed a dominating 6 innings allowing just 1 hit and 3 walks, while recording 11 strikeouts.  While on the mound, Gainer used a 76-79/81 mph fastball and mixed in a 61-63 mph curveball that featured good depth.  

Offensively fot the Ostingers, Daylon Owens (2015, Bloomingdale HS, FL) went 1-2 with 1 RBI and Brandon Wheat (2015, Durant HS, FL) went 1-2 with 1 walk.

The Orlando Baseball Academy 2015 defeated the Fireline Bail Bonds 7-4 in their first game of the tournament.  The Orlando offense was led by Jose Mandry (2015, Cypress Creek HS, FL) who went 3-3 with 3 runs scored and 1 stolen base.  Also having a strong game was Jacob Southern (2016, Apopka HS, FL) who went 1-2 with 1 double and 3 RBI.  Julian Nunez (2016, Apopka HS, FL) also showed well going 1-2 with 1 RBI and 1 walk.  

Bo Simmons (2015, Boone HS, FL) earned the win on the mound for Orlando going 2 1/3 innings and recording 3 strikeouts.  While on the mound, Simmons showed a smooth delivery on his explosive, heavy 80-84/85 mph fastball with a 67-71 mph curveball.  Simmons also had a nice day at the plate going 1-3 with 1 RBI.  

For Fireline, Jose Garcia (2016, Slam Charter HS, FL) led the way going 1-2 with 1 double and 1 RBI.  Leonardo Torres (2017, West Broward HS, FL) also showed well going 2-2 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI on the day.

The Broward Nationals defeated the Lakeland Legends of the Batters Box 18u by a score of 8-0 to pick up their first win of the tournament.  Manny went 1-3 with 1 home run, 1 run scored and 2 RBI on the day to help power the Nationals' offense.  Michael Van Degna (2015, Somerset Academy Charter HS, FL) also showed well going 1-2 with 1 double, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and 1 stolen base.  Leadoff man, Kenneth Moreo-Costa (2016, Somerset Academy Charter HS, FL), added in a 1-2 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 walk performance.  

Justin Martinez (2015, West Broward HS, FL) earned the win for the Nationals tossing 5 shutout innings allowing just 4 hits and 2 walks, while recording 6 strikeouts.  Martinez used a 72-76 mph fastball and effectively mixed in his 60-62/63 mph curveball.

Farmer's blast carries Angels over Canes

The FBH Angels 18u defeated the Canes Baseball Academy 18u 8-0 to pick up their first win of the tournament.  Angels' leadoff man, Justin Farmer (2017, Riverview HS, FL), showed big raw power and good bat speed going 1-2 with a home run, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and 1 walk on the day.  Matt Martin (2015, Bartow Senior HS, FL) also put together an impressive day at the plate going 1-2 with 1 run scored, 3 RBI, 1 stolen base and 1 walk.  Josh Crouch (2017, Sebring HS, FL) showed a quick bat and a short, compact swing as he went 2-3 with 1 triple.  

Starting and earning the win for the Angels was Mark Moclair (2015, Strawberry Crest HS, FL) who tossed 3 no-hit innings allowing just 2 walks, while recording 7 strikeouts.  Moclair got good extension out front and showed the ability to sink his 81-84/85 mph fastball.  Nicholas Little (2016, Newsome HS, FL) came out of the pen to toss 2 perfect innings and striking out 1 using a 75-78 mph fastball/

Rodriguez dominates in Storm win

South Florida Storm Blue defeated the Carrollwood Gators 18u 1-0 in both team's first game of the tournament.  Alex Rodriguez started and earned the win for the Storm throwing 4 no-hit innings allowing just 1 walk, while recording 9 strike outs.  Rodriguez showed good velocity on his 80-83/86 mph fastball and mixed in a handful of upper 60's curveballs.  John Resnik (2016, South Fork HS, FL) earned the save in the game tossing 1 2/3 perfect innings of relief with 3 strikeouts using a 81-85 mph fastball.  

Offensively for the Storm, Matthew DiNenna (2016, Martin County HS, FL) picked up the lone RBI going 1-3 on the day and Dalton Deakins (2016, South Fork HS, FL) scored the only run as he went 1-2 with 1 stolen base.  

For the Gators, Randy LoCicero (2015, Gaither HS, FL) took the tough-luck-loss allowing just 1 run in 3 innings of work giving up only 2 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 6 using a 75-78/79 mph fastball.

Hit Factory 18u defeated Inside the Diamond Baseball Club by a score of 11-8 thanks in part to a 7 run 3rd inning.  Michael Taylor (2015, King HS, FL) shined offnesively showing raw power and a live bat going 3-3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and 1 stolen base.  Nathan Tomilonus (2015, Seminole HS, FL) also had a strong day going 1-3 with 1 double, 1 run scored and 3 RBI.  Zach Bacon (2015, Seminole HS, FL) came up big as well going 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.

The Futures Stars Baseball defeated the Orlando Prospects Baseball 12-3 thanks in part to a 8 run 3rd inning.  Pierre Garcia (Gregorio Luperon HS of Math & Science, NY) led the way offensively for the Stars as he went 1-2 with 2 runs scored, 3 RBI and 1 walk.  Also showing well was Nathan Berkel (2015, Colegio Arubano HS, ABC) who went 1-1 with 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 RBI, 1 stolen base and 2 walks.  Richie Palacios (2015, Berkeley Carroll HS, NY) proved to be disruptive on the bases collecting 1 stolen base and 2 RBI on the day, while also scoring 1 run.  Joshuan Sandoval Sanchez (2015, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy HS, PR) continued the strong offensive day going 2-3 with 1 RBI.  

Earning the win for the Stars was starter, Sergio Santiago (2015, St. Croix Central HS, VI), who went 4 innings allowing 3 runs and struck out 3 batters.  Santiago attacked hitters and showed an online delivery with his 71-75/76 mph fastball and mixed in several 56-60 mph curveballs.  

For the Prospects, Jayson Jimenez (2016, Oakridge HS, FL) and Jordan Rivera (2016, Oakridge HS, FL) each went 1-2 with 1 RBI.  Clody Martinez (2016, Osceola HS, FL) also impressed going 1-1 with 2 runs scored and 1 walk.

Attatude Baseball and CRFS Baseball 18u tie with a final score of 1-1.  For CFRS, Gabriel I Escalera (2015, Arlington Country Day HS, FL), led the way for the offense going 2-3 with 1 double and 1 run scored.  Derek West (2015, Trinity Christian Academy HS, FL) also had a strong game as he went 2-3 on the day.  

The starting pitcher for CRFS was Carlos Suarez (2015, Oviedo HS, FL), who tossed all 7 innings allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 4.  While on the mound, Suarez featured a 71-74/76 mph fastball and worked in a upper 60's curveball.  

For the Attatude offense, Ryan Griffith (2016, Pinellas Park HS, FL) went 2-3 with 1 run scored and 2 stolen bases.  Derrek Jaar (2016, Pinellas Park HS, FL) also showed well going 1-3 at the plate and picked up 2 RBI.  

Chase Wilson (2017, Pinellas Park HS, FL) came out of the bullpen for Attatude and tossed 3 shutout innings of relief only giving up 2 hits and 1 walk as he struck out 1.  Wilson threw primarily fastballs as worked his between 72-74 mph in his outing.

Premier Baseball Academy-Orlando 17u defeated Real Deal Baseball 16u 6-0 to pick up their first win of the tournament and move to 1-0.  Premier was lead by starting pitcher, Dylan Craig (2015, Boone HS, FL), who tossed a complete game shutout allowing just 3 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 8 batters over 7 innings of work.  While on the hill, Craig used a 74-78/79 mph fastball while mixing in the occasional 70-72/73 mph changeup.

Offensively for Premier, Tanner May (2016, Dr. Phillips HS, FL) led the way going 3-3 with 1 run scored and leadoff man, Ryan Glasthal (2015, Ocoee HS, FL), added in a 1-3 day at the plate with 1 double, 1 run scored and 1 RBI.  Kerry Carpenter (2016, Eustis HS, FL) and Lucas Patterson (2016, Apopka HS, FL) each showed well going 2-3 with 1 double and 1 run scored, while Carpenter also had 1 RBI

Kacher helps lift Ostingers to victory

Blog: Ostingers Baseball Academy 17u defeated the Hialeah Warriors 18u 4-2 to pick up their first win in the tournament.  Alex Kachler (2016, Strawberry Crest HS, FL) lead the way for the offense going 2-3 with 1 RBI and 1 stolen base.  Florida International commit, Austin James (2016, Bloomingdale HS, FL), added in a 2-3 day with 2 stolen bases. 

Brandon Harris (2016, Strawberry Crest HS, FL) went 2-3 with 1 run scored at the plate and also performed well on the mound tossing 3 scoreless innings allowing just 1 hit and 1 walk, while striking out 4.  While on the mound, Harris used an impressive 85-87 mph fastball and mixed in a 72-73 mph curveball with a 75-79 mph changeup.  George Collier (2016, Durant HS, FL) earned the win in relief tossing 3 innings and striking out 3 using a 76-79 mph fastball. 

For the Warriors, Peter Baldrich (2015, Mater Academy Charter HS, FL) went 1-2 with 2 RBI and Jonathan Jhones (2015, American Senior HS, FL) worked 3 walks and scored 2 runs at the plate.  


Gnorio dominates as SBO wins

SBO Florida 18u defeated Real Deal Baseball 16u by a score of 5-2 in both team's first game of the tournament.  SBO received a dominating starting pitching performance from Christian Gnorio (2015, Puerto Rico) who tossed all 7 innings in the complete game win.  Gnorio allowed 2 runs, only 1 earned, on 6 hits and 1 walk, while striking out an impressive 14 batters using a 77-80 mph fastball with a 66-69/70 mph curveball.  Gnorio also posted a strong day at the plate going 1-2 with 1 double. 

As for the rest of the SBO offense, Gabriel Figueroa (2015, Puerto Rico Baseball Academy HS, PR) went 1-3 with 2 RBI and Ian Carlos Claudio (2016, Lincoln Park Academy HS, FL) went 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI. 

For Real Deal Baseball, Stephen Polacek (2016, Marvin Ridge HS, NC) led the way from the leadoff spot going 3-3 with 1 double and 2 runs scored and Will Claywood (2016, Claywood Catholic HS, SC) picked up a pair of stolen bases.
