Batting Practice Highlights
Ty Holt (2027, Fort Smith, Ark.) took a good round of BP swings. He impacted well out in front and drove the ball well working pull-side. Simple stroke with a fluid motion through it. He delivers the barrel on time and is able to do damage. Quality right-handed stroke.
Henry Ikrami (2027, Galesburg, Ill.) handled the barrel well during BP. He starts upright with a direct path to contact. He lifted the ball well during his round and had a good feel to drive the ball with strength off it. He banged a couple off the wall, including one off the top of the wall.
Collin McClintock (2026, Fairfax, Iowa) swings it well from the right side, staying short and direct. He showed feel to impact out in front, turning well through the swing. Athletic actions in the box, and he delivers the barrel on time with some sneaky lift to the swing. Showed a good pull-side approach during his round of swings.
Isaiah Scott (2026, Marion, Iowa) showed a simple swing from a spread base with a compact and short path to it. He delivers the barrel on time with an aggressive swing. He worked pull-side and up the middle. Turned on a couple of balls well during his round of swings with good bat speed and some quality swings overall.
Maddox Strassburg (2025, Cedar Falls, Iowa) works from a spread base with a big leg lift trigger to get on time. He turned well and showed good lift and strength off of it. Left the yard on home runs for back-to-back swings. Banged one off the top of the wall the next swing. Impressive swing with good turns and impact strength.
Griffin Brecht (2026, Cedar Rapids, Iowa) put together a good round of swings with a twitchy and fast swing. Hard turns with a pull-side approach were on display. Good swing with a feel to drive it out in front and deliver the barrel for hard contact. Loose stroke with a couple of nice, low-tension swings.
Christopher Meyer (2026, Independence, Iowa) swings it from the right side with a pull-side approach. He showed some extension through it with a sneaky lift and juice. He drove the ball well with a couple of wallbangers and good pull-side swings into left field. Took a good round of BP swings.
Kyler Crow (2026, Sperry, Iowa) swings it well with deeper hands in the load, taking an inward move to contact. He had some lift and strength through contact. He turns well and shows a pull-side approach with some lift. Good feel to impact showed during his round of BP swings.
