Jose (Angel) Olivarez
OF - 2025 - Sierra Vista, AZ
Emporia State
Olivarez was probably the best overall performer of the weekend where he showed off solid tools across the board. He ran the 2nd best 60-yd dash with a 6.71 and showed adv. arm strength both in the OF (92 mph) and on the mound where he ran his fastball up to 90 with a quality hard SL in the upper 70s. Also stood out at the plate with a couple loud barrels where he showed a simple/compact stroke with his foot getting down early and his strong hands delivering a direct barrel to the baseball.
Noah Pringle
LHP - 2025 - Peoria, AZ
Uncommitted
Pringle put together a really dominant outing on the mound on Sunday. Stands a physical 6-1/210 where he moves with aggressiveness and intent down the mound. He ran his fastball up to 87, living in the low-mid 80s where it produced several in-zone whiffs. Also mixed in a quality CH/CB he showed he could land for strikes.
Ivan Schuster
3B - 2025 - Chino Valley, AZ
Uncommitted
Schuster was one of the better INFs are staff evaluated within this group of about 40. He ran a 6.84 60-yd dash and that athleticism/quickness showed at SS where he moved well both to and through the baseball with strong glove actions and a quick/accurate arm. At the plate, displayed a simple/level stroke with some decent bat speed that found a nice opposite field barrel during the gameplay portion.
Colton Champion
OF - 2025 - Prescott, AZ
Uncommitted
Champion immediately caught our staff’s attention from the start with his 6.77 60-yd dash where that quickness also showed in the OF with some athletic defensive actions and a solid arm (86 mph). In BP, he displayed a LD oriented stroke/approach that also showed during gameplay where he went the other went into the RC gap for a double.
Kael Leon
3B - 2026 - Surprise, AZ
Uncommitted
Leon showed flashes of a solid power-hitting corner INF profile this past weekend. Displayed some sure-handed 3B defense both during his workout and in gameplay where he made several plays. However, it was his bat that stood out where there is some strong pullside power he showed in BP and in-game with a no-doubt HR over the LF wall.
Matt Hepperle
LHP - 2026 - Prescott Valley, AZ
Uncommitted
Hepperle was one of the better arms our staff evaluated this past weekend. Showed a simple and repeatable operation from the left side where he ran his fastball up to 84 that had some sneaky life and produced some whiffs and weak contact. His go-to secondary was a low 70s slider that flashed some quality late depth that produced a couple LHH chase whiffs getting below barrels. Intriguing follow as he continues to add strength/mass to a projectable frame.
Mason Porter
OF - 2026 - Gilbert, AZ
Uncommitted
Porter was great in all facets. Started with his 6.98 60-yd dash and solid showing in the OF where he showed athletic actions and a quality arm (84 mph). During BP, he barreled several to the pullside where he displayed some above avg. bat/hand speed with some out front intent which translated into gameplay with a couple knocks. He also jumped on the mound where he ran it up to an easy-effort T83 with the FB he paired with a legit changeup and quality slider.
Pj Hancock
SS - 2026 - Roosevelt, UT
Uncommitted
Hancock was another standout two-way performer. Ran a solid 7.07 60-yd dash and showed fundamental actions in the INF. At the plate, showed a loose/lofty swing that found a couple XBHs in game. Then on the mound, he showed a quick arm within a slight crossfire operation where he ran his fastball up to 85 while mixing in a breaker he demonstrated he can land for strikes.
Mason Maggard
OF - 2026 - Cheyenne, WY
Uncommitted
Maggard stood out with his quality speed/athleticism and his LH swing. Ran a 6.84 60-yd dash where that speed showed in his OF actions and on the base paths. Then in the box, he showed a flatter stroke that produced pullside LDs both in BP and in-game.
Emrick Thompson
3B - 2026 - Tucson, AZ
Uncommitted
Thompson did a little bit of everything this past weekend. Was one of the better SSs and catchers during the defensive workout showing solid actions at both spots. He put together a solid round of BP where there’s good feel for the barrel with some sneaky impact that he flashed during gameplay with a pullside double. Also jumped on the mound where he ran his fastball into the low 80s.
Marcello Quezada
OF - 2026 - Lubbock, TX
Uncommitted
Quezada had a solid showcase showing but really stood out during the gameplay portion of the weekend. Out in CF he made a couple of really difficult diving plays and added a couple line drive barrels at the plate where he shows a simple swing operation where he gets his foot down early and lets his hands play.
James Benson
LHP - 2027 - Lemont, IL
Uncommitted
Benson was probably the most intriguing pitcher our staff saw this weekend. Starts with his outlier 6-8/210 frame. Then it’s the operation that is a bit funky/deceptive where he’ll raise/drop his arm slot at will. Showed present arm speed where he ran his fastball up to 82 while also showing feel for a strong sweeping SL in the low 70s and a depthy CH.
Kal Hampton
C - 2027 - Chandler, AZ
Uncommitted
Hampton was very impressive in just about everything he did. Put together one of the better BP rounds of the day where he showed a whippy RH stroke that has some present pullside power he demonstrated with a couple HRs. That swing translated into gameplay with two doubles where he sent his first one the other-way for a ground-rule double and the other being a LD he sent over the LF’s head. Then it was the arm talent he displayed both behind the plate with his 1.99 pop time and on the mound with his low 80s FB.
Logan Lemons
SS - 2027 - Albuquerque, NM
Uncommitted
Lemons showed well on the position player side of things but really stood out on the mound. Stands a lean and athletic 6-0/150 where he moves well within a clean operation. He ran his fastball up to 87 which played well up in the zone for whiffs. Mixed in a quality SL and a unique split he killed good spin/depth on which he also got some whiffs with.
Quinton Griffin
OF - 2027 - Phoenix, AZ
Uncommitted
Griffin was one of the better athletes we saw in this group. Ran one of the top 60s with a 6.81 where that speed/athleticism translated to some solid defensive actions. Then at the plate, he showed a simple/compact stroke with some loft that found a loud pullside barrel during gameplay when he hit one off the LF wall for a double.
Maverick Bolen
C - 2027 - Scottsdale, AZ
Uncommitted
Bolen is immediately intriguing with his 6-3/190 pound frame. It’s a developing operation but showed quality present stuff where he is already into the low 80s with the FB (T83) while also flashing the feel to land a CB and CH. Our staff believes the projection here could be very interesting.
Cody Sawyer
SS - 2027 - Humble, TX
Uncommitted
Sawyer became a name our staff will monitor after his performance. Ran well from the start with his 6.73 60-yd dash. INF actions were solid where he operated low to the ground with clean glovework. At the plate, it's a shorter stroke where there’s some solid hand speed. He turned on one during gameplay for a double down the LF line.
Reed Ross
C - 2027 - Paradise Valley, AZ
Uncommitted
Ross flashed the potential of a solid power-hitting catcher profile. Had an inconsistent BP round but showed quality bat speed and impact that translated into gameplay with a couple hard pullside barrels which included a shot to the LF wall for a double. The catch/throw behind the plate was solid as well where he popped a decent 2.04.
Logan Cortes
C - 2027 - Phoenix, AZ
Uncommitted
Cortes was one of the better pure bats of the entire group. Produced a ton of solid pullside contact during his BP round showing a clean LH stroke that had some out front intent. That same swing showed up in-game with a couple of XBHs into the right center gap.
Oren Tucker
OF - 2028 - Phoenix, AZ
Tucker easily stood out amongst his fellow 2028s. Ran an impressive 6.83 60-yd dash and flashed a quality arm from the OF where his throws worked downhill with some strength. He had himself a solid BP round but the swing really played in-game with a couple pull side shots where his swing works short, accurate and uphill to the baseball.
